Patrick Comer is a transformative leader in Research Technology (Restech), a term officially coined under his leadership. Patrick's journey began in 2003 as Director of Surveys at iFilm, where he established key partnerships with loyalty programs such as eRewards and Mypoints. In 2004, he co-founded SampleCzar, a pioneering market maker in the sampling space with a proprietary supply management system. He later joined OTX, a global research and consulting firm, to oversee its third-party supply chain. Under his leadership, the creation of RSX, OTX's market-making division, led to its acquisition by Ipsos in 2010. Patrick's vision for Restech fully materialized with the founding of Lucid in 2010. At Lucid, he introduced programmatic concepts from Adtech and pioneered the industry's first APIs, and set new industry standards with innovative products, including its reverse auction marketplace and quality-first scoring system. In 2021, Lucid was acquired by Cint AB, whereupon Patrick became the chairman. In 2013, Patrick founded SampleCon, a dedicated forum for the sample industry. At SampleCon in 2019, a vote officially named the evolving industry "Restech," a term now synonymous with innovation in market research. He is also the co-creator of the Restech Landscape at restecher.com. In September 2024, Patrick took on a new challenge by joining his current company as CEO.
